Mainlight Achieve Carbon Trust Accreditation
Mainlight has gained accreditation from the Carbon Trust for the energy saving benefits that its products and services provide.
What is the Carbon Trust?
The Carbon Trust's mission is to accelerate the move to a sustainable, low carbon economy. They help businesses put cost-saving energy efficiency strategies into practice, with leases, loans, finance and implementation support to make energy efficiencies straightforward.
Having demonstrated energy efficiency savings in many projects, the Carbon Trust accredited Mainlight with accredited supplier status, thereby recognising this on-going level of outstanding work.
Mainlight’s clients are now able to benefit from the schemes run by the Carbon Trust to release funding streams for their energy efficiency plans. This includes grants of up to £10,000 for SMEs, and interest-free loans for larger companies and projects.
Major advantages to upgrading lighting systems
Peter Walsh, General Manager of Mainlight commented:
“Upgrading lighting systems to the latest LED technology provides many benefits to users, but the ability to save energy and subsequently reduce maintenance are major advantages when calculating the impact of any such investment. The added benefit of reducing environmental impact also contributes to the positive impact of such a decision. Accreditation from the Carbon Trust endorses Mainlight products and services, and provide our clients with additional funding options”.
Mainlight is currently the UK’s only approved installer of QED lighting products, included in the accreditation, offering a range of high bay, low bay, battens, panel lights, emergency lighting systems and floodlights with amongst the highest currently available efficacies of up to 170 lumens per Watt (lm/W). This range of UK designed and tested products can be installed by Mainlight with a 10-year parts and labour warranty.
